#letmetelyu: “We have everything in La Union, tourist spots, locally-grown products, and most specially, people are hospitable.”
Jose Ping-ay, Jr. or Punong Barangay JP envisioned to be of public service since he was young. He is currently in his first term as Chairman of Barangay Paringao in Bauang, La Union serving as father to 1,400 families.
“Ayayatek iti La Union ngamin mayat ti timpuyog iti tattao, naayat, nadungngo, ken natalna iti probinsia ti La Union.” Previously a barangay kagawad, he has witnessed the alignment of the services provided in the different levels of governance in the province. “Dakkel a sammakedmi iti LGU nangnangruna iti province. Amin a haanmi kabaelan iti barangay ikultditmi iti LGU, no haan a kabaelan iti LGU, kumulditkami iti probinsia.”
As a new barangay captain, he feels relieved whenever misunderstanding among families and neighbors in his jurisdiction is resolved. He considers the COVID-19 pandemic as his greatest challenge in public service as they have to render 24/7 monitoring and relief response to ensure that their barangay is safe. "We are very thankful that we have a very supportive leader a mangimatmaton ti probinsiatayo, ni Gov. Pacoy, a mangidandanon ti tulongna ti tunggal babbalay ditoy La Union. Dakkel ti panagyamanmi ditoy grassroots."
As a local leader, Punong barangay JP supports all the programs of the Provincial Government to reach its vision. “Kas ama iti barangay, maymaysa iti arapaaptayo iti probinsiatayo, arapaap iti ama ti probinsia, Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III, a no dumanon iti 2025, nga agbalin nga Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon.”
The Provincial Government does its best to provide all kaprobinsiaan with a government that work cohesively across all levels. We will ensure to work together to provide an improved quality of life for every kaprobinsiaan.
Be one with us in our journey towards building a Stronger La Union!
