LA UNION WELCOMES MISTER CONTINENTAL INTERNATIONAL

Mr. Continental International 2018 bets visit the Provincial Capitol in the City of San Fernando, La Union on November 13, 2018 for a welcome dinner hosted by the Provincial Government of La Union.
Taking pride of its famous tourist attractions, Agri-Tourism products and the hospitable people, La Union was chosen to host several activities of the Mister Continental International 2018 (MCI) which includes the Welcome Dinner on November 12, 2018; photo and video shoot, talent competition and fashion show on November 13, 2018; and the La Union Tour and Pre-Pageant Night on November 14, 2018.
The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) sponsored a fellowship dinner to welcome the candidates at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III, through Provincial Tourism Officer Mr. Adamor L. Dagang, extends his gratitude to the MCI candidates and organizers for holding the said pageant in the province.
The candidates visited various La Union resorts for their photo and video shoot. The talent competition and a fashion show were held at San Juan Gymnasium, San Juan, La Union where candidates presented their country’s native costumes and attires.
The candidates went on a provincewide tour which includes the Grape Farm in Bauang, St. Michael the Archangel Parish and the Sericulture Research and Development Institute of Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University in Bacnotan.
The Pre-Pageant Night was held at Awesome Hotel Convention Center where the candidates showcased their formal attires and country costumes.
The coronation night of MCI was held on November 15, 2018 at Teatrino Promenade, Green Hills, City of San Juan, Metro Manila where Mr. Jared Matanane representing Guam bagged the crown.
Hosting an international pageant such as MCI paved way to showcase what La Union has to offer in line with Gov. Pacoy’s vision to make La Union the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
