La Union PTO and MTOs Geared Up for Barangay Election

Final batch of election materials were delivered safely to the Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) and were accepted and inspected by PTO staffs on May 5, 2018 under the supervision of Provincial Treasurer Francis R.E. Estigoy. Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Provincial Supervisor Atty. Joel Gines were also present during the delivery.
The PTO distributed said election paraphernalia to the 19 Municipal Treasurer’s Office (MTO) of La Union for the upcoming Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) and Barangay elections. The MTOs will serve as custodians for these election materials until properly handed over to the Chairman and Members of the Barangay Electoral Boards on election day.
Members of the Philippine National Police and the La Union Provincial Security Group also took part in the said turnover to ensure the safe delivery of said materials.
The registered voters of the 576 Barangays from the 19 towns of La Union, including the 59 Barangays of City of San Fernando are expected to practice their rights and cast their votes on May 14, 2018.
