La Union Provincial Statistics Committee Prepares for the 34th National Statistics Month Celebration

The Provincial Statistics Committee Technical Working Group for the 34th National Statistics Month (NSM) Celebration convened last August 11, 2023 via Zoom for the initial planning of the Calendar of Activities on October 2023 with a theme “Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data and Statistics for Healthy Philippines.”

The PSC Resolution No. 11, Series of 2023 entitled “Approving the NSM Calendar of Activities and Enjoining the Provincial Line Agencies (PLAs), Local Government Units (LGUs), Academic Institutions And The Private Sector To Support The 34th NSM Celebration In La Union” was approved during the meeting. The approval of the resolution endorsing the NSM Calendar of Activities signifies the unity and dedication of the province in promoting statistical literacy and embracing a data-driven approach.

The NSM celebration aims to instill awareness and appreciation of the importance and value of statistics to the different sectors of society. To achieve this goal, the Provincial Government, through the La Union PSC, continues to support this endeavor as part of the #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan to strengthen the data-driven governance that also contributes in positioning the province as the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
