La Union PROBINSYAnihan Strengthens Community Through P1Milion Cash Aid Distribution

The spirit of La Union PROBINSYAnihan is once again demonstrated as the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), under the leadership of Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David, and the National Government, through the office of Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), demonstrated their unwavering commitment for the welfare of the people as 100 kaprobinsiaan received financial aid during the payout of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) on June 16, 2023 at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University - Mid La Union Campus, City of San Fernando La Union.
The AICS, a financial assistance program by the DSWD, serves as a lifeline for individuals and families facing critical situations. In the latest distribution event in the province, beneficiaries who sought burial and medical assistance to the PGLU received the financial aid amounting to Php 10,000 each recipient.
In her message, Gov. Rafy emphasized the importance of having concern to one another as she reassured kaprobinsiaan of the continued support of the PGLU with the help of National Line Agencies and the Senate.
Meanwhile, Sen. Bato expressed his message to the beneficiaries through Luzon Head Mr. Jhun Morales of Sen. Bato's Communication Relations and Political Affairs. He highlighted that the total of P1,000,000 cash assistance was made possible with the persistence of Gov. Rafy. He also reminded the beneficiaries to put the money in good use. Board Member Chary Nisce was also present during the distribution of cash assistance.
The successful payout of the AICS program exemplifies the effectiveness of the partnership between the Provincial Government of La Union and the National Government. The collaboration is a testament to their shared commitment to the welfare of the kaprobinsiaan and their determination to uplift the community.
As La Union PROBINSYAnihan continues to flourish, the PGLU remains steadfast in identifying and addressing the needs of each kaprobinsiaan for a stronger and more resilient province.
