LA UNION PROBINSYANIHAN IN TRYING TIMES; GOV RAFY TAKES IMMEDIATE ACTION IN BAUANG FIRE INCIDENT, PUSHES FOR VOLUNTEERISM

Hand in hand, volunteerism was evidently shown by residents as they safely took part in #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan in helping the Bureau of Fire Protection; the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office; Local Government Unit of Bauang; and the Barangay in extinguishing a fire incident in Central West, Bauang, La Union in the afternoon of June 30, 2023.

Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David and Acting Vice Mayor Tanya De Guzman personally visited the 23 families who were affected by the incident. As of writing, five families are temporarily sheltered in the Municipal Evacuation Center. She turned over 13 pieces family packs; 30 pieces hygiene kits; 23 food packs; 20pcs blankets; 20 pieces pillows; and 23 pieces non-food bucket packs to the victims. Financial assistance is now currently being processed by the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) to aid in the recovery of the affected individuals.

Through a video, Gov. Rafy encouraged kaprobinsiaan to further extend their participation in La Union PROBINSYAnihan by giving assistance to the victims.

The PGLU reminds kaprobinsiaan to be vigilant and remain #AlertoKaprobinsiaan at all times. Immediately report any emergency to numbers 911 or 0998-561-1519.
