Mr. Jade S. Gurtiza, a grade 11 student with a congenital limb difference, is a second timer Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) beneficiary hired by the Provincial Government of La Union assigned at the Public Employment Service Office (PESO). Jade’s customer service skills to PESO clients, his attitude, diligence and willingness to help are appreciated by his coworkers and clients. Jade’s journey to employment helps him understand the importance of dignity of labor.

Physical disability is not a hindrance for growth and development, being differently abled can be an inspiration and become an asset to the society. PESO has given Jade a chance to work normally and exhibit his skills in the workplace. It gave Jade greater confidence through working and enjoys the fruit of labor brings.
