La Union Opens Ayat Fest 2024 with Mutia Ti La Union Pre-Pageant Talent Competition, Abel Bangar Fashion Show

The La Union Convention Center was filled with excitement, glamour, and talent as the Mutia Ti La Union Pre-Pageant and Abel Bangar Fashion Show were hosted on February 24, 2024 at the La Union Convention Center, City of San Fernando, La Union, marking the opening of La Union's 174th Founding Anniversary celebration dubbed as Ayat Fest 2024: 174 Years of Celebrating Love, Celebrating yoUnity.
The event was a showcase of beauty, talent, and local creativity as candidates for Mutia Ti La Union 2024 took the stage with their talent presentations. From traditional dances to modern renditions of La Union's cultural heritage, along with singing performances, magic shows, and declamation and oration pieces.
Another highlight of the night was the Abel Bangar Fashion Show. The candidates walked the stage in their respective Resort Wear Collection featuring the locally-produced Abel Bangar textile turned into pieces by local designers from the province. These pieces were also judged as they take part in the Mutia ti La Union Competition.
Moreover, reigning Mutia ti La Union Queens and other local male models with actor Vin Abrenica, strut the runway wearing the Formal Glam Abel Bangar Collection of Nikky Ordinario, a couture designer hailing from Balaoan, La Union.
The evening was graced by the presence of Governor Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David, who delivered a her opening remarks by highlighting the importance of unity in the province. She emphasized that regardless of political differences, the welfare of the province, especially the KaPROBINSYAnihan, should always remain a top priority of the Provincial Government.
"Let us set aside our differences and come together to celebrate the Love and yoUnity that define La Union," the governor's remark.
Gov. Rafy also congratulated the Mutia Ti La Union 2024 candidates for their dedication and encouraged all provincemates to partake in the Ayat Fest 2024 celebrations.
The winners of Mutia Ti La Union Pre-Pageant and Abel Bangar Fashion Show will be announced during the Mutia ti La Union coronation night on March 2, 2024.
As the festivities continue for Ayat Fest 2024, La Union remains to be a beacon of unity and love, embodying the spirit of La Union PROBINSYAnihan as it celebrates 174 years of resilience, diversity, and community spirit.
