LA UNION NATIVE APPOINTED AS NEW ASSOCIATE JUSTICE OF THE SUPREME COURT

Justice Mario V. Lopez, a native of Balaoan, La Union was appointed as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court by President Rodrigo R. Duterte.
Justice Lopez took his oath in Malacañang on December 3, 2019. He graduated Law at San Beda University as Cum Laude. He took his master’s degree at the University of San Tomas, Manila.
Prior to his appointment, Justice Lopez had served with distinction as Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals; Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court of Batangas City; and Prosecutor of the Tanodbayan for several years which earned him recognition and respect.
Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III, Vice Gov. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega and the Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) passed a resolution expressing their heartfelt congratulations to Justice Lopez for his achievements as Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals.
The SP and the whole province is hoping that he will give honor to the new position he bears in the light of the present administration’s policy to improve the dispensation of justice in all aspects.
