The Provincial Government of La Union ensures the readiness of the province as the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) meets for the Operations Briefing in preparation of the onset of Typhoon #DantePH on June 2, 2021 at the PDRRMO, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Discussed in the meeting were the response operations of the office for the possible effects of the typhoon and the available resources that will be utilized to augment the needs of the different Local Government Units. Also highlighted in the briefing was the need to consider the safety of kaprobinsiaan considering the risk of CoViD-19.
As of June 2, 2021, 5PM, La Union is under tropical cyclone weather signal no. 1. The typhoon is expected to pass by the West Philippine Sea and without having a landfall in the province.
