LA UNION: FIRST PROVINCE TO SECURE THREE ISO STANDARDS CERTIFICATIONS NATIONWIDE: GOV. RAFY COMMITS TO LEAD PGLU TOWARDS OPTIMAL PUBLIC SERVICE DELIVERY

La Union records another first as the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) secures the first province in the entire country to pass a total of three ISO Standards implying competence in provision of public administration services following its passing of BS EN ISO 9001:2015 QMS Second Surveillance Audit on June 20, 2023 at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Based on internationally accepted criteria, among the ISO Certifications passed by the PGLU were BS EN ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System as well as BS EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System; and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Management System which were also passed last IMS Surveillance Audit in December 2022.
As they recommended the PGLU for continued certification, the auditors from the NQA Global Assurance handed the three certificates to Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David who in return committed to continuously implement the ISO Standards in the Provincial Capitol for effective public service delivery benefiting kaprobinsiaan.
Among the good points of the audit were the consistent good results of customer satisfaction survey with analysis and action plans; 2022-2023 programs and projects for the benefits of the community; the regular conducting of internal audit as well as completeness of internal audit records; the provision of various training and monitoring of training effectiveness; the implementation of the Document Tracking System; and awards and recognitions received by the Capitol under the leadership of Gov. Rafy such as First Place among the Provinces of Region 1 for Year 2022 SubayBAYANI from DILG, Best Tourism Event and Program from DOT-ATOP among others. Minor notes on opportunities for improvement were also cited.
PGLU Department Heads, ISO Officers and Auditors were also present in the audit as a sign of their collaboration and continued #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan for an optimal service delivery for constituents.
