LA UNION EMPOWERS NUEVA VIZCAYA ON BEST PRACTICES IN PUBLIC INFO, PGS JOURNEY

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through its information arm Provincial Information Office (PIO), met with counterparts from the Provincial Government of Nueva Vizcaya (PGNV) to exchange best practices through a benchmarking activity held at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union on June 30, 2023.

The aforementioned activity was initiated by the PGNV Public Affairs and Information Assistance Division led by their Division Chief Jimmy Calata. Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David together with La Union Provincial Information Officer Mr. Rowan Joshua Dimaculangan warmly welcomed the delegates as they expressed their gratitude for choosing the province as the venue of their benchmarking activity. The delegates were also given the privilege for a courtesy meeting with the Governor and gained insights about La Union's rich heritage and culture during their Provincial Capitol Tour led by the La Union Provincial Tourism Office.

The event marked the beginning of a valuable knowledge exchange as the PIO shared its best practices and innovative initiatives on information dissemination and public service, aiming to assist the PGNV in enhancing their communication strategies.

Provincial Information Officer Dimaculangan shared a comprehensive presentation which highlighted the different multimedia approaches utilized by PIO, implementation of different strategic campaigns, establishment of a strong information network, development of visuals, branding and marketing, and the PIO Organizational structure.

Recognizing the importance of effective communication in public service, both offices acknowledged the value of sharing experiences and insights that will elevate their respective roles and operation.

The PGLU, led by Gov. Rafy, continues to embody the spirit of La Union PROBINSYAnihan by forging partnerships with government counterparts as it endeavors to reinforce its commitment in advancing organizational performance, boosting effective information dissemination efforts, empowering its citizenry, and continually making La Union the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
