KaPROBINSYAnihan MMA Fighter Snags Gold in World Tilt

Exhibiting strength and discipline, kaPROBINSYAnihan Jayson Orfiano Jr. of Brgy. Palintucang, Bauang, La Union triumphed in the international arena after bagging a total of four medals in the 11th Mombasa Open Tong-IL Moo-Do International Martial Arts Championship held in Mombasa, Kenya, Africa on December 15-19, 2023.

Proudly representing La Union and the entire country, Orfiano knocked off two gold medals in the sparring competition under the Mens Senior Advance Category and Individual Bon Competition respectively. He also striked a silver medal in the Team Bon Male Category and a bronze medal in the Team Mix Bon Competition. He is among the four Filipino players who delivered a good fight in the global stage.

The 21-year old LU pride has been actively joining and winning national and international competitions since 2018. Orfiano is currently on his senior year in College taking up Bachelor of Science in Electro-Mechanical Technology at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-Mid La Union Campus.

The Provincial Government of La Union led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David recognizes and commends the exceptional achievement of Mr. Orfiano for bringing pride not only in the province but in the entire country.
