“We cannot afford to invest on something that can jeopardize our future,” Gov. Pacoy stated during the Consultation Dialogue with the Lupon ng mga Indibidwal na Nangangalaga sa Kalikasan (LINK) lead by Co-Founder Celso Jucutan and President Mr. Mark Ryan Talajuron last November 20, 2020.
During the event, relevant issues concerning the environment were raised and actions moving forward were identified to include climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, sustainable energy and water resource management.
Gov. Pacoy also expressed his support to LINK saying “I will champion your cause.” Through this, the partnership between PGLU and LINK was further strengthened and both parties are looking forward to converging efforts to intensify campaign and implement programs for environmental protection.
The session is a part of the consultation dialogue series to meet with different environment stakeholders, and discuss environmental plans and programs.
Present also during the dialogue are members of the Environment and Natural Resources Unit headed by EnP. Annalyn Rosario-Valdez and the Office for Provincial Strategy headed by Ms. Noemi R. Jucar, and MSGC Vice- Chairperson/ Committee Head on Environment Sector Mr. Ramon Benito Tamayo.
The Provincial Government, through the leadership of Gov. Pacoy, shall continue to develop strategies, projects, programs and activities that are geared towards building a province where our generation and the future generations can thrive.
