Description: Known as “Home of the Native Tobacco”, Tubao was famous for its tobacco leaf and cigars. It had a tobacco trade for decades where its town center was littered by huge tobacco warehouses and trading posts for tobacco.

Sangbay Falls

Description: The falls is made up of different cascades of four tiers. It is similar to the upper cascades of “BaeyAnito” falls of Alilem, Ilocos Sur. Even though its waters diminish during the hot summer months, it generally has waters falling all year round.



Saint Isidore the Farmer Parish Church

Description: St. Isidore the Farmer Parish Church of Tubao was canonically erected in 1896. It is under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Fernando de La Union which was created on January 19, 1970 and erected on April 11, 1970. The Church is under a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines from the Archdiocese of Nueva Segovia. It was rehabilitated and renovated in 1980 under Jose D. Aspiras.

Green Corn Plantation

Description: Green corn is being planted in the Municipality of Tubao as a cash crop after rice. Due to its maturity of 60-70 days after planting, the farmers can plant two crops of corn per year. Marketing of farmers produce is done through “pakyaw” system wherein buyers come to see and visit the area. The buyer will be responsible for harvesting and packaging. For the second crop where demand of green corn is lower, farmers will let their corn get matured. This will later be processed into “cornik” and other recipes.



Lang-ay Falls

Description: The Lang-ay Waterfalls is a newly discovered waterfalls situated just next to the Sangbay Falls. It is considered as a new tourism site in the locality.
