CABA DISTRICT HOSPITAL LAUNCHES PSYCHOSOCIAL HEALTH CRISIS HOTLINE

CDH PSYCHOSOCIAL HEALTH CRISIS PROGRAM. Caba District Hospital (CDH) launches the Psychosocial Health Crisis Hotline as part of the Mental Health Program of the hospital during the Virtual General Staff Meeting on February 4, 2021 at Caba District Hospital, Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union. The Psychosocial Health Crisis Hotline features a hotline to provide assistance to individuals with psychosocial and mental health conditions, especially individuals at risk of committing suicide. Clients may seek assistance by calling or texting the CDH’s Psychosocial Health Crisis hotline numbers 0912-555-9918 (Smart) and 0956-481-7840 (Globe).
In line with Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III’s vision for a Healthy La Union, Happy La Union by 2022, and its effort to build a Stronger La Union, Caba District Hospital (CDH) launched the Psychosocial Health Crisis Hotline during the Virtual General Staff Meeting on February 4, 2021 at Caba District Hospital, Caba, La Union.
The said launching was participated in by 60 CDH personnel through video conference. Clients may seek assistance by calling or texting the CDH’s Psychosocial Health Crisis hotline numbers 0912-555-9918 (Smart) and 0956-481-7840 (Globe).
The Psychosocial Health Crisis Hotline features a hotline to provide assistance to individuals with psychosocial and mental health conditions, especially individuals at risk of committing suicide. The said hotline aims to strengthen the Mental Health Program of the hospital as well as to give prompt psychosocial health crisis intervention through psychological first aid and process by phone, strengthen the healthcare provider network through referral to other agencies that can provide specific mental health services as needed in various parts of the province and to eliminate or lessen the number of depression or suicide cases in the province.
Exposure to extreme stressor is a risk factor for social and mental health including common mental disorder. Mental health and psychosocial problems in emergencies are highly interconnected. Psychological well-being is influenced by a variety of social factors including dignified and safe provision of overall aid. Mental disorders are prevalent in all regions of the world and major contributions to global morbidity and mortality. More than 10% of the global burden of disease, measured in disability-adjusted life years, is attributed to mental disorders.
