Advocacies

The Platform of Government of ABONO Partylist will be the continuous implementation and enhancement of programs, projects and advocacies of the party that will further improve the quality of life of the agricultural and marginalized sector especially from the Province of La Union. As newly elected representative of ABONO, I will continue the efforts that Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III started by focusing on the following:

I. Promotion of agri-business and entrepreneurial development programs through

• The provision of alternative livelihood programs for farmers and other sectors
• The provision of more agri-infrastructure support services/projects like Farm-to-Market Roads and Farmers’ Multi-Purpose Buildings
• The support in the conduct of agri-research and development through partnerships with Universities like the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) and agencies such as the Department of Agriculture (DA) and
• Farm production & marketing assistance such as the Farmers’ Relief Operation through the provision of quality seeds/seedlings, organic fertilizers and agricultural machine-ries for increased farm productivity and income of farmers and families, among others

II. Work in partnership with other sectors and government agencies to accommodate other valid sectoral concerns

• Partner with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to provide scholarship grants to poor and deserving students
• Partner with the Department of Education (DepEd) to assist students in their studies by giving computer units and basic accessories to public schools, non-government organizations, barangays, and different municipalities in the province
• Partner with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to extending Assistance to indigents in their Hospital, Medical and Burial needs
• Partner with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in assisting young workers, self-employed and unemployed in the province in finding jobs

• Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program

• Gulayan Sa Paaralan Program
