The Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David presided over La Union’s Local Youth Development Officers (LYDOs) meeting on August 9, 2022 at the Bahay Pag-asa, Brgy. Sta. Rita, Bacnotan, La Union. The meeting highlights the provincial government’s commitment in supporting Youth Development initiatives and programs of the province.
Likewise, the LYDOs gave her their unwavering support for the governor’s youth empowering agendas which she described as a priority in securing our youth’s prosperous future. The governor further assured those present during the meeting that policies on teen pregnancy, mental health, and adolescent health will be expanded as part of her first 100 days in office.
The meeting ended with a dialogue between the governor and the LYDOs, becoming an eye opener and a very good start for the partnerships being sought by the PGLU in addressing the challenges faced by our youth.
