Gov. Rafy Lauds Newly Appointed PGLU Employees, Retiree; LUPGEO Officers Vow to Focus on PGLU Employees’ Welfare, Development

Pledging to uphold their duties and responsibilities with integrity and excellence, 30 newly-appointed employees of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) took their oath of office before Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David on June 6, 2024, at the Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center (La Union Convention Center), City of San Fernando, La Union.
The mass oath-taking ceremony of employees from the Local Economic Enterprise and Investment Promotions Unit, La Union Provincial Tourism Office, Office of the Provincial Administrator, Office of the Provincial Accountant, Office of the Provincial Assessor, Office of the Provincial Veterinarian, Provincial Health Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development, Security Services Unit, and Caba District Hospital reflects the PGLU’s commitment to delivering efficient and effective services to the communities and kaPROBINSYAnihan by appointing and promoting a competent workforce.
Newly-appointed officers of the La Union Provincial Government Employees Organization (LUPGEO) also took their oath right after. The LUPGEO officers expressed their commitment to leading their organization with integrity while focusing on the welfare and development of all PGLU employees.
Mr. Norberto Buccat, a retiree from Bacnotan District Hospital, was also conferred with a service award, recognizing his exemplary service and notable contributions as Laborer 1 for the said hospital 15 years.
Gov. Rafy lauded the contributions of both the new employees and the retiree. She stressed the importance of La Union PROBINSYAnihan and teamwork in achieving the province's goals and encouraged everyone to work together towards a common goal.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed sense of commitment and unity among all attendees to provide exemplary public service as PGLU continuously strives to be the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
