Gov. Rafy Anchors July 1st Flag Raising Ceremony on Love and Service to Kaprobinsiaan

Looking back on what has been accomplished through the first year of her administration, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David instilled to the employees of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) the value of love in everything that they do during the first Monday flag raising for the month of July.

As her administration marked its first year, Gov. Rafy also highlighted the significance of care, compassion, and La Union PROBINSYAnihan in achieving transformative governance. To further reinforce PGLU's commitment to excellence, the Gov. Rafy administered the mass oath-taking ceremony for 31 newly appointed PGLU employees. Among them were individuals from various departments, each bringing their skills and expertise to contribute to the growth of the province.

From the Provincial General Services Office, newly appointed employees were Kathleen A. Soriano, Administrative Officer II; King Leonard Abad A. Casaclang, Administrative Officer I; Graciel G. Balcita, Administrative Assistant II; Eliezar M. Pedrozo, Administrative Assistant II; Luz C. Casuga, Administrative Aide III; Jasper J. Peralta, Administrative Aide IV (Driver II); Eric I. Sarmiento, Administrative Aide III (Driver I); Carlo Epifanio A. Abaga Jr., Administrative Aide III (Driver I); Laura C. Aromin, Administrative Aide I (Utility Worker I); Jonalyn L. Balagot, Administrative Aide I (Utility Worker I); Reyna R. Calub, Administrative Aide I (Utility Worker I); Sammuel E. Catbagan, Administrative Aide I (Utility Worker I); Fernando C. Further, two Service Awards were given to retiring employees in recognition of their commitment and dedication to public service. They were Bella D. Pundavela, with 16 years of service, and Francisco B. Reyes Jr., with 37 years of service, both from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

With the said mass oath-taking, PGLU strives to be a transformative government by empowering its workforce and maintaining a steadfast commitment to delivering excellent public service. This commitment stems from a genuine love for serving the kaprobinsiaan, solidifying the province's vision of progress, prosperity, and unity, as it becomes the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
