Motor adventure, environmental sustainability, and, now, women empowerment were observed and advocated during the Ayat Fest 2024 through the La Union Loop Version 2.0 on March 2, 2024 where motorcycle riders and enthusiasts went on an eco-ride around La Union.
The Provincial Government of La Union, in partnership with the La Union Vibrant Riders Federation and the Philippine Motorcycle Tourism, sought out interactive events for participants to learn from and enjoy as their activities aim to raise funds for Environmental Projects.
Around 500 Motorcycle riders and enthusiasts went on a 230-kilometer fun and eco ride around La Union while engaging in several activities that care for the environment and showcase women’s indispensable role in society. This is in celebration of both the 174th La Union Founding Anniversary and National Women’s Month. Participants visited various eco-tourism sites which opened the opportunity to explore nature and develop motor tourism in the province geared toward rediscovering its eco-tourism potential.
Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David; Senator JV Ejercito;×Provincial Administrator Francisco Emmanuel "Pacoy" R Ortega III; City of San Fernando Alfredo Pablo R. Ortega; Executive Assistant V Kevin David; special guest riders Navjot "Mr. Nobodyduddy" Singh; Team Katventures of Ms. Katrice Kierulf and Ms. Klea Pineda; BMW Owners’ Society of Safe Riders, Inc. Team; and Ms. Bernadette Reyes and her travel buddy Ms. Janet Tan graced the event to interact with LUcal riders and be part of the different causes forwarded in the second edition and more-improved La Union Loop.
Among the different stages were tree planting at Agoo Eco-Park, throwing empty bottles in an eco bin near Baluarte Watch Tower at Luna, and taking a selfie with Gov. Rafy to highlight extraordinary women, among others.
