BASIC TABLE SETTING LECTURE. Caba District Hospital’s (CDH) Nutritionist Dietician Vladimir Piñon imparts his knowledge on Basic Table Settings during the General Staff Meeting and Family Day at CDH Conference Room, Caba, La Union on April 3, 2019. The aim of the said activity is to develop skills and knowledge of staff on food preparation and table settings.

Caba District Hospital (CDH) Dietary Unit headed by Nutritionist Dietician Vladimir Piñon conducted a lecture on Basic Table Setting during the General Staff Meeting and Family Day held at CDH Conference Room, Caba, La Union on April 3, 2019.

Mr. Piñon discussed the different kinds of table settings which included informal and formal table setting, the arrangements of utensils, and proper usage of utensils, table manners and presentation. He also demonstrated the difference between formal and informal table setting.

CDH Chief Dr. Gretchen F. Aromin emphasized the importance of table setting, “As a health practitioner, hindi lang yung nutrition part ng healthy diet ang dapat tumbokin natin, importante din na magkaroon tayo ng knowledge and skills on table setting. Mas nakakaenganyo sa pasyente o kahit tayo as common tao na kumain ng maayos at magana kung maganda o maayos ang pagkaset ng table at alam ang tamang gamit ng mga kubyertus na nakahain. Nakakatulong din sa atin kung meron mga bisita tayo dito sa ospital,” she said.

69 CDH personnel participated in the activity which aimed to develop knowledge and skills on Basic Table setting and demonstrate proper table setting etiquette.
