CDH SPEARHEADS COMMUNITY OUTREACH FOR ELDERLIES

Senior Citizens of Brgy. Poblacion Sur and Gana, Caba, La Union listen attentively to Caba District Hospital (CDH) Chief of Hospital, Dr. Gretchen F. Aromin as she imparts the different Hospital Programs, Services and Senior Citizen Benefits during the Monthly Senior Citizen Community Outreach held at Brgy. Gana Multi-Purpose Hall, Gana, Caba, La Union on August 29, 2018. Said project is part of CDH’s initiative towards the aim of Gov. Pacoy to have a Happy and Healthy La Union by 2022.
As part of Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III’s aim to bring services of the Provincial Government of La Union closer to the people, 85 Senior Citizens (SC) from Brgy. Poblacion Sur and Gana, Caba, La Union benefited in the Community Outreach Program conducted by Caba District Hospital (CDH) held at Brgy. Gana Multi-Purpose Hall, Gana, Caba La Union on April 20, 2018.
In an orientation program, CDH Chief of Hospital Dr. Gretchen F. Aromin presented to the SCs the different health services they can avail in the hospital as well as their benefits for being a senior citizens. She also emphasized that CDH gives special attention to the elderlies by providing a Senior Citizen Room exclusive for them during their confinement. She also encouraged the elderlies to actively participate in various activities prepared for them.
SC joined in various activities such as Information Education Campaign tackling Pulmonary Tuberculosis; Smoking Cessation; Anti-Microbial Stewardship; Proper Handwasing Lecture and Demonstration; Shake It Off Exercises and Parlor Games; medical and dental mission; wellness session; and livelihood program activity.
Out of 85, 80 were medically checked and were provided with free medicines; eight benefited from the dental services conducted by the Provincial Government of La Union – Provincial Health Office; 27 availed of the therapeutic massage by the Scholars of the ABONO Party-list; 28 participated in the Atchara livelihood project. All elderlies received a customized mug sponsored by Gov. Pacoy and Cong. Vini Nola Ortega of the ABONO Party-list. Everyone were also given apples as part of CDH’s “An Apple a Day Program.”
Supervising Chief Nurse and the Senior Citizens Coordinator of Caba District Hospital, Geraldine T. Posadas, expressed her gratitude to the elderlies of Brgy. Gana and Poblacion Sur for actively participating in the various activities set for them. She then emphasized that this senior citizen community outreach program is a monthly activity of the hospital to pave way in fulfilling CDH to be the Center of H.O.P.E., an acronym which stands for H-ealthier and satisfied patients; O-utstanding and modern facilities; P-rofessional and compassionate personnel; E-quitable and inclusive services, focused on the Care of the elderly.

Gana Multi-Purpose Hall, Gana, Caba, La Union on August 29, 2018. Said project is part of Caba District Hospital’s initiative towards the aim of Gov. #AlagangAbono. The Abono Partylist Scholars give Free Wellness Massage to the elderlies of Brgy. Poblacion Sur and Gana, Caba, La Union during the Monthly Senior Citizen Community Outreach held at Brgy. Gana Multi-Purpose Hall, Gana, Caba, La Union on August 29, 2018. Said activity was sponsored by Gov. Pacoy and ABONO Representative Vini Nola A. Ortega.
As per Gov. Pacoy’s goal to bring services of the Provincial Government of La Union closer to the people, the Provincial Health Office Dentist Dr. Marites Munar gives a free dental check-up, dental cleaning and dental surgery with free medications to the elderlies of Brgy, Gana and Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union during the Monthly Senior Citizen Community Outreach spearheaded by Caba District Hospital held on August 29, 2018.
