CDH Spearheads Christmas Thanksgiving Party for Elderlies

CABA, LA UNION- As part of the vision of Caba District Hospital (CDH) to be the Center of H-ealthier and satisfied patients, O-utstanding and modern facilities, P-rofessional and compassionate personnel. E-quitable and inclusive services (H.O.P.E), CDH headed by Gretchen F. Aromin spearheaded a Christmas Thanksgiving Party for the elderly on December 12, 2018 at Diego Silang Civic Center and Historical Plaza, Poblacion Norte, Caba, La Union.
Dr. Aromin opened the program with an inspirational Christmas message and expressed her appreciation for the overwhelming participation of the Senior Citizens (SC) in the said occasion. She also presented the different services they can avail during the half-day Christmas event made for them.
668 SCs from the 17 Barangays of the Municipality of Caba actively participated in various activities which include Free Medical Consultation, Dental check-up, Wellness Clinic, Therapeutic Massage, issuance of free medicine, parlor games, raffle draw and dance contest.
From the 668 SCs, 177 were medically consulted and provided with free medicine, 20 benefited from the dental services conducted by PGLU-PHO, 41 were therapeutically massaged by the Scholars of the ABONO Party-List. All participants received a gift from PGLU-PHO, Department of Health (DOH), Mayor Philip Crispino and Sangguniang Bayan Members of the Municipality of Caba and other sponsors.
The highlight of the event was the Kiss Me, Kiss Me Dance Contest which was participated by 11 barangays. They showcased their groove, gracefulness and creative Christmas costumes. Brgy. San Carlos was declared the Champion followed by Brgy. Poblacion Norte and San Cornelio as Second and Third place respectively.
Community Outreach Program for elderlies is an activity of CDH to reach out and to achieve the health goal of Gov. Francisco Emmanuel Pacoy R. Ortega III which is a Healthy La Union, Happy La Union by 2022.
