CDH CONDUCTS INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL LECTURE

SAVE LIVES. Dr. Lea A. Sanedrin, DPCP, Medical Officer of Caba District Hospital (CDH) shares her knowledge regarding HIV Action Plan and needle stick injury during the Infection Prevention and Control Lecture on March 11, 2019 at the CDH Conference Room, Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union.

Caba District hospital (CDH) Infection Prevention and Control Committee headed by Dr. Lea A. Sanedrin conducted a lecture on infection prevention and control on March 11, 2019 at the CDH Conference Room, CDH, Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union

A total of forty-three CDH personnel listened to various topics which included HIV Action Plan and Needle Stick Injury discussed by Dr. Sanedrin, Waste Management tackled by the Health Program Coordinator, Nurse Geraldine T. Posadas, while Hospital Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection was discussed by Nurse Francis P. Valdez. After each topic, an open forum was conducted to accommodate questions and other information coming from the participants.

Mrs. Posadas emphasized that Healthcare Waste Management entails commitment to promote and sustain a health and hazardous free environment. She encouraged CDH employees to demonstrate discipline and exercise proper judgment in waste management.

The objectives of the lecture are to update personnel’s knowledge on healthcare waste management, proper housekeeping procedures, management of needle stick injury and HIV Action plan and to develop their skills toward a much improved delivery of health care services for the community.
