CDH Conducts Community Outreach For Elderlies

Senior Citizens of Barangay San Jose, Caba, La Union actively participated in the dance number for elderlies during the community Outreach Program for Senior Citizens on June 13, 2018 at Brgy. San Jose Lying Inn, San Jose, Caba, La Union.

SAN JOSE, CABA, La Union 75 Senior Citizens (SC) actively participated in the Community Outreach Program conducted by Caba District Hospital (CDH) on June 13, 2018 at the Rural Health Lying Inn Clinic of Brgy. San Jose, Caba, La Union.

Dr. Gretchen F. Aromin, CDH Chief of Hospital, presented to the SC the different health services they can avail in the hospital as well as their benefits of being a senior citizen. She also encouraged the elderlies to actively participate in various activities prepared for them.

SC joined in various activities such as Shake It Off Exercise; parlor games, medical and dental mission, wellness session and livelihood program activity and Information Education Campaign tackling Smoking Cessations and Antimicrobial Stewardship conducted by the Department of Health Region I.

From seventy 75 SCs, 65 were medically consulted and provided with free medicines, 33 benefited from the dental services conducted by PGLU-PHO, 36 were therapeutically massaged by the Scholars of the ABONO Partylist, 18 participated in the Atchara livelihood project conducted by CDH Nutritionist Dietician Vladimir Piñon, and all elderlies received a customized mug sponsored by Gov. Francisco Emmanuel Pacoy R. Ortega III and Cong. Vini Nola Ortega of the ABONO Partylist.

Geraldine T. Posadas, RN, MAN, Supervising Chief Nurse and the Senior Citizens Coordinator of Caba District Hospital expressed her gratitude to the elderlies of Brgy. San Jose for joining the outreach program and the overwhelming participation of the elderlies. “The monthly Community Outreach Program for the Elderlies is paving the way to the fulfillment of CDH brand name focused on the Care of the elderly,” she stated.

The program ended with group photo documentations and a cheer from the Senior Citizens of Brgy San Jose with “I Love La Union, I Love CDH, I Love Caba, I LOVE PACOY, I LOVE PHILIP.”

Community Outreach Program for Senior Citizens is a monthly activity of CDH to reach out to our elderlies and be informed on the proposed hospital brand of CDH which is focused on Care of the Elederly, in line with the Provincial government of La Union (PGLU’s) vision for Happy La Union and Healthy La Union by 2022,, with the 5 District Hospitals as Centers of H-ealthier and satisfied patients, O-utstanding and modern facilities, P-rofessional and compassionate personnel.
