CDH BAGS 2ND DOH30 HOSPITAL STAR AWARDS

Caba District Hospital (CDH) Chief, Dr. Gretchen F. Monis and Atty. Nicholas Lutero III during the National Health Facility Regulation Summit and DOH 30 Hospital Star Award 2019 Awarding Ceremony on September 17, 2019 at Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan De Oro City. CDH excelled in Infection Control and Hospital Safety Program, Service Provision, Patient Experience and Employee Satisfaction, Social Responsibility and Community-Based Activities and Quality Improvements, making them 1 of the ten best Level 1 hospitals in the country.
For the second time, Caba District Hospital (CDH) has been recognized as one of the top 10 Level 1 Hospitals in the Philippines during the second Department of Health’s (DOH’s) 30 Hospital Star Awards 2019 held on September 17, 2019 at Pearlmont Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.
The awarding ceremony was held during the National Health Facility Regulation Summit. It was attended by CDH Chief Dr. Gretchen F. Aromin, Supervising Administrative Officer Annabelle M. Rodriguez and Administrative Officer Marlon C. Runas.
The award was given to the hospital in acknowledgement of its efforts in upholding high standards of quality and best practices in the delivery of health service towards achieving universal health care.
Recipients of this award excel in the following components: Infection Control and Hospital Safety Program highlighting programs to keep the environment free from harm; Service Provision which pertains to innovations implemented that impact patient’s care; Patient Experience and Employee Satisfaction for plans and projects that promote increase in the level of satisfaction of employees and customer; Social Responsibility and Community-Based Activities including innovations to promote health in the community; and Quality Improvements with the provision of plans, studies, and projects to continually improve systems, patient safety and clinical outcomes.
Health Secretary Francisco Duque III conceptualized the DOH 30 Star Awards to encourage the hospitals to continuously improve their service and to enhance their compliance to regulatory requirement.
According to Dr. Aromin, the accolade is a testament of the compassion of Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III and hardwork, dedication, and passion of CDH leaders and staff to improve the services and practice in the name of excellent patient care.
CDH has vowed to further strengthen its service to patients and to achieve the governor’s mission to be a Healthy La Union and Happy La Union by 2022.
