Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology students from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid-La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC) apply their learning in responding to emergency situations during their hands on scenario drill on the fourth day of their Safety and First Aid Training held on July 2-5, 2019. Said training, facilitated by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, included First Aid and Basic Life Support.

Maria Dorica Naz-Hipe join in the dispersal of around 76,000 tilapia fingerlings on the Amburayan River, during the “Piesta ti Karayan Amburayan” on July 5, 2019. Spearheaded by governing board members of the Lower Amburayan River System–Water Quality Management Area (LARS-WQMA), the activity aimed to intensify public awareness and participation in protecting the majestic river. The LARS–WQMA encompasses the Municipalities of Bangar, Santol, and Sudipen in the Province of La Union.

In this activity organized by In His Presence Unto All Nations, Inc. and Calvary Tabernacle of New Jersey, USA, free medicines were distributed and free blood typing was conducted.

Ayat Festival is an annual event of the Provincial Government of La Union to celebrate and further promote the local language and rich culture of the province.
Balaoan District Hospital Cashier Ms. Genoveva Occasion receives a check amounting to one million pesos from Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Chairman Anselmo Simeon P. Pinili as Endowment Fund for said hospital on July 5, 2019 at the PCSO Main Office, Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. The same amount of fund was also given to Bacnotan District Hospital to be used for medical assistance to indigent patients.
HEALTH IS WEALTH. Caba District Hospital (CDH) Nutritionist Dietician Vladimir Piñon conducts a nutrition counseling to admitted patients on July 5, 2019 at CDH, Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union. A total of 17 inpatients were counseled and given Information, Education and Communication materials. Members of the Philippine Southeast Asian (SEA) Games Organizing Committee meet with representatives from the Provincial Government of La Union on July 4, 2019 at the Sea View, Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol Building, City of San Fernando, La Union to discuss preparations for the upcoming 30th SEA Games on November 30 to December 12, 2019. La Union will be one of this year’s venue where the surfing competition will be held.
