First Aid for Fractures, Wounds Symposium Conducted in BDH

FIRST AID FOR FRACTURES AND WOUNDS. Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) nurses, Mr. Arnel Fontanilla and Mr. Jeffrey Julian teach Mr. Reynaldo Querol, representative of Bacnotan Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association on how to splint a broken arm during the return demonstration as part of the Symposium on First Aid for Fractures and Wounds conducted on July 17, 2019 at BDH, Bacnotan, La Union. Said activity was done in observance of the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week with the aim to equip the participants with the skills and knowledge to minimize further injury and possible disability.

Tongson of the Provincial Health Office talks about techniques on how to maintain healthy minds to detainees of the La Union Provincial Jail (LUPJ) during the Mental Health Fair at LUPJ, Brgy. Camansi, City of San Fernando La Union on July 17, 2019. The activity, with the theme “Mapanirang Droga, Ibasura Tungo sa Malusog na Kaisipan nang Biyaya’y Makakamtan,” included health lectures, medical-dental mission, livelihood integration on beads making, free massage and free haircut.

CDH Waste Management Enhancement Program Done Through Making Ecobricks

WASTE MANAGEMENT ENHANCEMENT. As part of the Waste Management Enhancement Program of Caba District Hospital (CDH), CDH Dietary Unit personnel feeds pieces of plastic wrappers they’ve cut inside plastic bottles on July 17, 2019 at CDH, Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union. These plastic-filled bottles will be turned into ecobricks which can be used as reusable building blocks reducing non-biodegradable wastes in the hospital. This was adopted from the program of Provincial Environmental and Natural Resources Office, “Basura Para sa Bigas” wherein these ecobricks were exchanged for rice.
