Delfinado presents the La Union Tourism and its Sustainable Tourism Medium Term Strategy 2019-2022 during the La Union Tourism Summit held on September 24, 2019 at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Convention Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union. The first of its kind in the province, the Summit was dedicated to the tourism industry key players and experts as they exchanged ideas around the next big trends driving the sector.

The activity is BDH’s contribution to the nationwide campaign to decrease pressing issues among teenagers.

PGLU ICOS trained on Internal Control Systems

The Internal Control Officers (ICOs) of the different departments of the Provincial Government of La Union participate in the Training on Internal Control Systems conducted by the Office of the Provincial Accountant on September 23, 2019 at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Lobby, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. The training aimed to develop professional and competent ICOs who adhere to high standards of integrity towards achieving the goals of the Provincial Government of La Union.

BDH Advocates Health, Safety, Sanitation

HEALTH, SAFETY, SANITATION. Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) Nurse Mr. Jeffrey Julian stresses to patients and their companions that clean hands is the single most important means of preventing the spread of infection, illness, and cross-contamination. His lecture was conducted at the out-patient department of BDH, Bacnotan, La Union on September 23, 2019 in observance of the Health, Safety and Sanitation Month.

PGLU Kick-starts Third Party Audit for PGS Proficiency Stage

To kick-start the Provincial Government of La Union’s (PGLU’s) Third Party Audit for the Proficiency Stage of the Performance Governance System (PGS), a representative from the Auditor PricewaterhouseCoopers Business Services Philippines discusses the evaluation process during the Third Party Audit Kick-off Meeting on September 23, 2019 at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. The audit will be conducted from September 23-27, 2019 to assess and validate the level of PGLU’s Proficiency in its vision to be the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.

Ten Outstanding Police Officers of La Union Approved

TEN OUTSTANDING POLICE OFFICERS OF LA UNION SELECTION COMMITTEE. Vice Gov. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega presides the Selection Committee Meeting of the Ten Outstanding Police Officers of La Union (TOPLU) on behalf of Gov. Pacoy on September 23, 2019 at the Ante Room, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Building, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. The TOPLU has been confirmed and approved by the selection committee and will be awarded on October 22, 2019 at the Diego Silang Hall.

PGLU Spearheads Coastal Clean Up in Aringay

Over 300 participants jointly collect tons of waste during the coastal clean-up activity led by the Office of the Provincial Governor -Environment and Natural Resources Unit in Barangay Alaska, Aringay, La Union on September 21, 2019. Said event was in celebration of the International Coastal Clean Up which is being celebrated worldwide every 3rd Saturday of September by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 470, S. 2003.

Bingot, Ngongo Operation Conducted in BDH

FREE BINGOT, NGONGO OPERATION. Surgeons from the Philippine Band of Mercy (PBM) conduct an operation of patients with lip and cleft palate deformities at Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) on September 21, 2019. All medical, diagnostic and medicinal expenses were free of charge. The 16 patients were mostly children. The activity aimed to help children born with craniofacial deformities to have a better quality of life and a brighter future.
