Fostering inclusivity, equality, and women empowerment, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, hosted the first Provincial Women with Disability Celebration on April 11, 2024 at the La Union Convention Center, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The Province of La Union joined the nation in honoring the gallant heroes of the past as it commemorated the 82nd Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) and Philippine Veterans Week, with the theme “Pagpaparangal sa Kagitingan ng mga Beterano: Saligan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino,” through a flag raising and wreath-laying ceremony held at the Shrine of the United States Armed Forces in the Philippine-Northern Luzon (USAFIP-NL) in Barangay Darigayos, Luna, La Union on April 9, 2024.
To ensure the holistic development and well-being of the children of La Union, 744 participants including childcare professionals, Barangay Captains, Sangguniang Bayan members, Barangay Health Workers, and stakeholders gathered at Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza, Baguio City, during the 8th Provincial Convention for La Union Service Providers and Child Development Workers on April 3-5, 2024.
