The Municipality of Santol headed by Mayor Magno Wailan and Municipality of Bauang headed by Mayor Menchie De Guzman present their 10-Year Solid Waste Management Plans to the Technical Working Group of the National Solid Waste Management Commission on November 28, 2019 at the Imerex Hotel, Angeles City. The approval of the plans will be announced on December 5, 2019.

Provincial Accountant Atty. Albert F. Padilla, together with other Certified Public Accountants (CPA) of the Provincial Government of La Union, participates in the 74th Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Annual National Convention on November 20 to 23, 2019 at Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. The Annual National Convention served as avenue for CPAs to exchange views and get the latest updates on the profession. Hosted by the Ilocos Norte-Laoag City Chapter, this year’s theme is “Reinforcing the Future. Together. Today.” The PICPA La Union Chapter was awarded Runner Up- Outstanding Chapter under Category C during the Regional Awards Night on November 22, 2019 at the Laoag City Centennial Arena, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

Representatives from the Office of the Provincial Governor-Environment and Natural Resources Unit and Provincial Planning and Development Office join the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office in the review and finalization of the draft Foreshore Development and Management Plan (FDMP) of the province of La Union on November 21, 2019 at DENR Region 1, City of San Fernando, La Union. Said draft FDMP is the result of series of writeshops undertaken in collaboration with coastal Local Government Units and other stakeholders.
