PGLU Provides Temporary Accommodation for Health Workers

HOME FOR THE HEALTH WORKERS. Health workers in various hospitals in La Union arrive at their temporary accommodation provided for them by the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), to aid them in their continuing service in the front lines against COVID-19. The PGLU has tapped some hotels and accommodation establishments in the province to serve as temporary shelter for health workers who wish to stay closer to their workplaces as hospitals heightened operations in view of the pandemic.

Santo Tomas Households Receive PGLU Food Packs

DOOR-TO-DOOR DELIVERY. Residents of Santo Tomas receive their relief goods right at their doorstep on April 6, 2020, as the Provincial Government of La Union distributed a total 9,904 food packs in the town to aid them in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis.

LUMC Receives P2.5 Million COVID-19 Operations Fund from PCSO

DONATION FROM PCSO. La Union Medical Center CEO Dr. Glenn Ernest Fonbuena receives a check amounting to P2.5 Million from Philippine Charities Sweepstakes Offices (PCSO) La Union Branch through Financial Management Officer 1 Lalaine F. Martos, on April 6, 2020, at the PCSO La Union Office, San Juan, La Union. PCSO donated the amount to LUMC as aid in its COVID-19 operations.

PGLU Prepares Personal Protective Equipment Supply

Another batch of deliveries of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) such as surgical masks, gloves, plastic aprons, and disposable surgical caps arrives on April 5, 2020, at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. Procured by the Provincial Government of La Union, the PPEs will be given to health workers serving in the hospital frontlines against COVID-19 in La Union. Other batches of PPEs are expected to be delivered next week.

Food Packs Delivered to Bauang Households

Distribution of relief goods continues today, April 3, in Bauang with a total of 18,812 food packs given to households in town. Other municipalities are scheduled to receive their relief goods in the coming days, as the Provincial Government of La Union remains steadfast in its service in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Uniformed Personnel Extends Help in PGLU Repacking Operations

Personnel from the Philippine Air Force 580th Aircraft Control and Warning Wing, Philippine Navy, Coast Guard, and Army Reserve extend help as augmentation teams in the continuing repacking operations of relief goods to all households in La Union, on April 1, 2020 at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. Since March 23, a total of 51,560 food packs have been prepared by nine repacking teams in the Provincial Government of La Union.

Food Packs Delivered to Rosario Households

Representatives from the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) deliver food packs to the doorstep of households in Rosario, La Union on March 31, 2020. The PGLU continues the repacking of relief goods for all other Local Government Units.
