PGLU Launches Key Tax Education Initiatives

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, has undertaken significant efforts to bolster tax education and management during the first semester of 2024. As part of its comprehensive Information Education Communication (IEC) campaign, it conducted two pivotal activities aimed at enhancing public awareness and streamlining tax processes, the Real Property Tax Campaign in Barangay Assemblies and the Seminar Workshop on Public Auction Processes.

Upon the conduct of the Financial Literacy and Tax Awareness Campaign of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) in Sto. Rosario National High School, the student winners of the campaign’s Infomercial Video Contest was awarded on August 5, 2024, at the same venue in San Juan, La Union.

LU Municipal/City Assessors Adapts to Tech Advancement, Attends Digital Tax Mapping Training

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through its Office of the Provincial Assessor (OPAss), successfully conducted a two-day Digital Tax Mapping Training on AutoCAD and Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) attended by Municipal/City Assessors and their technical staff, along with representatives from various PGLU departments including the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Office of the Planning and Development Coordinator, and Office Provincial Engineer.
