PGLU Distributes PPE sets to Bacnotan, Balaoan, Luna

ENABLING THE COMPONENT LGUs. The Provincial Government of La Union is resolute in its mandate to enable its component Local Government Units, especially now in the fight against COVID-19. On May 8, 2020, the PGLU turned over PPE sets to barangay frontliners in Bacnotan, Balaoan and Luna. The LGUs also received cavans of rice to augment their continuing relief operations as the province eases its way to post-pandemic recovery.

Bagulin Receive 2nd Wave of Relief

BLESSINGS FOR BAGULIN. Around 4,113 families in the upland town of Bagulin continue to be hopeful as more and more blessings pour in amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. They have received their second wave of relief goods from the Provincial Government of La Union on May 7, 2020, while the town’s 10 barangays also each received PPE sets. Bagulin Municipal Government was also given five cavans of rice.

PBGEN Joel S. Ordoña Pays Exit Call to Gov. Pacoy

PEACE AND ORDER ALLY. Gov. Pacoy lauds the service of PBGEN Joel S. Ordoña as the Regional Director of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Police Regional Office 1 (PRO-1). During PBGEN Ordoña’s exit call with the Governor on May 6, 2020 at the Provincial Capitol, Gov. Pacoy thanked him for being a staunch ally in championing peace and order in the province.

PGLU Gives PPE sets to San Gabriel, San Juan, Santol, Sudipen Frontliners

PROTECTING THE BARANGAY FRONTLINERS. Each of the barangays in the towns of San Gabriel, San Juan, Santol and Sudipen receive their PPE sets from the Provincial Government of La Union on May 5-6, 2020 as the barangays continue to implement quarantine measures as La Union transitioned to General Community Quarantine. All the aforementioned Municipal LGUs also each received 10 cavans of rice.

Pugo, Burgos Receive 2nd Wave of Relief

MORE RELIEF GOODS, MORE LOVE. The residents of Pugo and Burgos feel the outpour of love from the Provincial Government of La Union as they receive their second set of relief goods on May 6, 2020. A total of 6,040 families in Pugo and 2,565 in Burgos were given their food packs, while all the barangays in the towns also received PPE sets. The PGLU also donated five cavans of rice each to LGU Pugo and Burgos.

PGLU SPREADS LOVE IN SANTO TOMAS, AGOO

SPREADING THE LOVE IN SANTO TOMAS AND AGOO. The residents of Santo Tomas and Agoo, La Union feel the love of the Provincial Government of La Union as they receive their second wave of relief goods on May 1-3, 2020. A total of 12,685 families in Santo Tomas and 19,099 in Agoo were given food packs to aid them amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, 24 barangays in Santo Tomas and 49 in Agoo received PPE sets for their use in their continuing checkpoint operations as the province transitioned to General Community Quarantine.

Rosario Receive 2nd Wave of Relief

THE HAPPY TOWN IS HAPPY. Residents of the Municipality of Rosario, dubbed as the Happy Town, are elated as they receive their second set of relief goods from the Provincial Government of La Union on April 30 and May 1, 2020 during the PGLU’s second wave of COVID-19 Relief Operations. A total of 19,323 food packs were distributed in the town. The PGLU also donated 10 cavans of rice to LGU Rosario and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sets to all the barangays of the town.

LU Home of Hope for COVID-19 Patients Ready for Utilization

HOME OF HOPE. The La Union Provincial Quarantine Facility for COVID-19 patients dubbed as “Home of Hope” will open for operation on May 1, 2020. Located at the Government Center, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union, the fully-airconditioned facility has 26 beds with gender-sensitive design where male patients will be separate from females.

The Home of Hope will accommodate confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients, who will also receive psycho-social support during their quarantine.

Gov. Pacoy inspected the facility on April 29, 2020. Joining him were Office of Civil Defense Regional Dir. Eugene Cabrera, Department of Public Works and Highways Representative Engr. Josephine Oamar, and Provincial Core Team Against COVID-19 members.

Gov. Pacoy reiterates the PGLU’s strengthened measures to prevent the spread of the virus in the province.
