𝗕𝗗𝗛 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗥𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦

To give patients a deeper understanding of the prevention and control of Rabies, Miss Aiza Valdez, Nurse I, and Ms Lani Balagot, Nurse II, of the Anti-Rabies Committee of Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) conducted a lecture at the BDH Out Patient Department-ABTC on March 14, 2022 and March 31, 2022. Ms. Valdez gave a thorough explanation of the Rabies disease and how it affects the human body once acquired. She also mentioned and corrected some facts and myths of the disease.

Held in the Baluarte Watchtower in Luna, La Union, a National Cultural Treasure, the first ‘AGASEM! The Kaprobinsian Talent Showdown’ which staged La Union talents hailed eLyU Dance Company of Bauang as the Champion with their combination of pop jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop dance performance on March 12, 2022.

The Provincial Government of La Union through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) supervised the Local Recruitment Activity (LRA) of MyRecruiter Inc. (MRI), on March 10-11, 2022, at PESO-La Union, 2nd Floor, LUPAC Bldg., Quezon Ave., City of San Fernando, La Union. While following minimum health standards, Labor & Employment Officer II, Mr. Exequiel N. Madayag, Jr. together with PESO employees conducted brief employment coaching to jobseekers. PESO La Union also disseminated the existence of Find Jobs La Union Employment Portal as a job-searching website where they can look for other vacant jobs online. 40 jobseekers were screened and interviewed during the two-day recruitment activity conducted at PESO.

Nowadays, the kaprobinsiaan youth population has been exposed and struggling from different societal problems that affects their lives negatively, hence, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) conducted a Teen Trail Activity for the youth sector to address these problems and convey support to them.

In time for the celebration of the 63rd Public Library Day today, March 9, 2022, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the La Union Provincial Library (LUPL) turned over Tourism Books to the La Union Public Libraries Association to be added to their respective Library Agri-Tourism Corners during their monthly meeting at the LUPL, City of San Fernando, La Union.

BDH Receives donation for frontliners

“GIVING IS AS JOYFUL AS RECEIVING.” Mrs. Luzviminda Alviar-Zin (L) hands over medical apparatus to Miss Melanie Holt as part of her recent donations to Bacnotan District Hospital on March 9, 2022. Mrs. Zin, a philanthropist nurse based in the USA, is a constant donor to the hospital since 2017. Her donations were used to augment the purchase of emergency supplies and PPEs during the pandemic and the realization of special projects like the paging system and closed circuit television (CCTV) in the hospital.

Relative to the 172nd La Union Foundation Anniversary Celebration, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) conducted the La Union Campus Virtual Jobs Fair on March 8, 2022 at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC) Covered Court, City of San Fernando, La Union.
