Six local hospitals in the Province of La Union continue to raise the bar of excellence as they add two more additional ISO Systems in their already existing ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Quality Management System. These are La Union Medical Center (LUMC), Bacnotan District Hospital(BCDH), Balaoan District Hospital (BLDH), Caba District Hospital (CDH), Naguilian District Hospital (NDH) and Rosario District Hospital (RDH).

The Association of Local Budget Administrators of Region I (ALBA-1), Inc. conducted a one-day dialogue relative to the local budgeting updates pertaining to the implementation of Full Devolution of Certain functions of the Executive Branch to the Local Government Units pursuant to Executive Order No. 138 on April 7, 2022 at the Thunderbird Resorts and Casinos, Poro Point, City of San Fernando, La Union.

Truck Carrying Pebbles from Bangar Barred due to Illegal Transportation

Representatives from the Provincial Government of La Union – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) together with San Fernando City Police Station flagged down a truck transporting sacks of pebbles without necessary permit on April 5, 2022 around 9:10 PM at Brgy. Lingsat, City of San Fernando, La Union.

PGLU Updates Enhanced Real Property Taxation System

With the aim to continuously improve the real property assessment and tax administration in the province, the Information Technology and Land Patent Unit of the Office of the Provincial Assessor has completed the upgrading of the Enhanced Real Property Taxation System in the local government units of Bauang and Caba on April 5, 2022. The installation of the new update includes corrected errors on the area and additional fields on the encoding of the Field Appraisal and Assessment Sheet. The constant upgrades will help boost the productivity and efficiency of the system end-users, particularly the assessors.
