𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗜𝗖𝗟

The Balay Namnama (Bahay Pag-asa) located in Sta. Rita, Bacnotan, La Union is set to operate and start admitting Children-in-Conflict with the Law (CICL) on May 2, 2022. In preparation for this momentous event, the Provincial Government of La Union through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office conducted an orientation for Barangay/Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (B/MCPC) officers and members including residents from the neighborhood on April 26, 2022 inside the said facility.

In celebration of Earth Day 2022, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) conducted an environmental summit via videoconferencing on April 22, 2022 attended by students from various colleges in La Union.

Now on the Second Quarter of 2022, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) conducted an Annual Investment Plan (AIP) Coaching and Strategic Targeting Session to the different PGLU offices, work units and hospitals to ensure that the organization is proactive in planning and budgeting for the upcoming programs, projects and activities for 2023.

With the collaborative effort of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) and the La Union Day Care Workers Association, Incorporated (LUDCWAI), 575 child development service providers from the province convened in the 6th Provincial Convention for La Union Service Providers and Child Development on April 20-22, 2022 at Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza, Baguio City.

With the aim to streamline the National Government’s CoViD-19 vaccination program, The World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) paid a visit at the La Union Provincial Capitol for the conduct of the CoViD-19 Post-Introduction Evaluation (cPIE) today, April 20, 2022.

With the continuous collaborative effort of the different government line agencies in empowering the community with accurate vaccine information, the Provincial Government of La Union together with the Department of Health Center for Health and Development Ilocos and the Department of Education forge ties to intensify the CoViD-19 vaccine advocacy campaign through the successful launching of the VACC2SCHOOL Program + BIDA Kid: Ligtas na Bakuna, Para sa Balik Eskwela held at Sto. Tomas Central Elementary School in Sto. Tomas, La Union yesterday, April 20, 2022.

To hone the skills and capabilities of its employees during disaster, Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) through the leadership of Dr. Zenserly D. Pagaduan, together with the Environmental, Health and Safety Committee led by Dr. Jennifer Gamioa and the Disaster Preparedness Committee Chairman, Dr. Jeffrey Julian, conducted a simultaneous Earthquake and Fire Drill on April 19, 2022 in BDH, Bacnotan, La Union.
