To effectively perform their functions as Oversight Committee on Local Fees and Charges that would strengthen financial stability and resiliency in the collection performance of the province, the Provincial Government of La Unionโs (PGLU) Department Heads and representatives attended a Seminar-Workshop on the Updating of Local Revenue Code – Phase 2 on July 4, 2022 at Ynadโs Place Hotel and Restaurant, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Capacitating all employees to be mobilized during emergency situations, Balaoan District Hospital (BLDH) in partnership with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Department of Health Region 1 conducted First Aid and Basic Life Support training for the second batch of employees on July 4-6, 2022. The first batch of employees underwent the same training last May 4-6, 2022. 94% of BLDH employees were trained and certified first aiders.

Board Member Alyssa Kristine B. Sibuma has filed a proposed ordinance protecting and recognizing the rights of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender. Queer, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+), and other sexual orientation and sexual identity or expression (SOGIE) in the Province of La Union which was later on referred to the Committee on Women, Responsible Parenthood, and Gender Development chaired by Hon. Maria Rosario Eufrosina Nisce for discussion and recommendation.
The Provincial Government – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) culminates Environment Month by recognizing Cleanest, Safest, and Greenest Local Government Unit (LGU) in the province for CY 2021.
