La Union I-BUILD Sub-Project Awarded

Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Francisco Paolo P. Ortega V, Provincial Engineer Ressie A. Estrella and Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Michaela Louise T. Delfinado presents the Most Outstanding I-BUILD Implementation Award to Gov. Pacoy on February 3, 2020 at the Office of the Provincial Governor, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. Said award was conferred to the Provincial Government of La Union by the Department of Agriculture during the Philippine Rural Agriculture Awarding Ceremony on January 30, 2020 held at Angeles City, Pampanga.

LUMC OB-Gyne Steps Up Services

The Department of OB-Gyne of La Union Medical Center (LUMC) received its Level II-C Accreditation for Services from the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (POGS) on January 1, 2020.

Chief Executive Officer IV Dr. Glenn Ernest M. Fonbuena of LUMC commended the department and assured a 100% support of the management to their future programs and activities.

The POGS Committee on Hospital Accreditation for Service accredited LUMC after their first visit and evaluation in the hospital on July 29, 2019. The evaluation showed that LUMC Department of OB-Gyne fulfilled the minimum standard requirements for Maternal and Child Care as prescribed by the POGS.

According to Medical Specialist II Dr. Bernadette Lizada, she and the Department of OB-Gyne will continue their relentless efforts to step up with the end goal of aiming for a higher accreditation status while staying steadfast to its commitment on delivering efficient, affordable and compassionate hospital services.

The accreditation covers January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2022.
