𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗧𝗔𝗫 𝗣𝗔𝗬𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗟𝗔 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗡. The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) started awarding tokens of appreciation to the first 100 licensed professional taxpayers in the Province of La Union who paid their Professional Tax online.
Paving the way to adapt La Union coasts to climate change, the Provincial Government of La Union has intensified its commitment and efforts to restore coral reefs, regrow coastal infrastructure and foster marine life through the deployment and monitoring of artificial reefs.
To strengthen local governance and promote effective planning and development, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) has been providing crucial technical assistance to its component Local Government Units (LGUs). The recent focus has been on aiding the municipalities of Balaoan and Sudipen in the formulation of their Annual Investment Programs (AIP).
The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) recently organized a Capability Enhancement Training for Business Permit and Licensing Officers (BPLOs) and Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Officers (LEDIPOs) of Local Government Units (LGUs) in La Union on June 29, 2023, at the PDRRMO Building City of San Fernando, La Unio. The training aimed to improve their understanding of the local business environment, legal frameworks, and best practices in business registration and licensing processes.
Essential to the attainment of it’s vision to be the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025, La Union, led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, recognized the winners of the Search for Cleanest, Safest and Greenest Local Government Unit (LGU) in the Province of La Union on June 28, 2023 at Agora Events Center, Thunderbird Resort, Brgy. Poro Point, City of San Fernando, La Union.
In an effort to strengthen air quality management, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Provincial Government – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) in collaboration with Land Transportation Office-Region I (LTO-I), Department of Environment and Natural Resources-EMB Region I (EMB-I), and Local Government Unit of Agoo conducted roadside Vehicle Emission Testing along the main road of Agoo, La Union on June 27, 2023.
As an appreciation to the support of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) during the 2023 National Information and Communications Technology Month Celebration, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Regional Office 1 has recognized the PGLU during the recently-concluded culmination program at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-Open University System DMMMSU-OUS Compound, City of San Fernando, La Union on June 27, 2023.
Responding to the call for La Union PROBINSYAnihan in protecting the environment, the Provincial Government of La Union through the Provincial Government – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) and Provincial Health Office (PHO) in partnership with Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Environmental Management Bureau Region 1 led a consultation and action planning workshop with component Local Government Units (LGUs) in developing plans and programs to address the issues and concerns on water supply from the month of June to July 2023.
