The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) has been recognized for its exceptional commitment to environmental stewardship and its valuable partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). During two separate ceremonies, the PGLU received the “Most Outstanding and Sustained Environmental Stewardship Award” and the “Best Environmental Partner Award” from the DENR and DENR β Environmental Management Bureau Region 1.
Marking a significant milestone in the provinceβs progress on infrastructure development, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), spearheaded by the Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP), held the inauguration ceremonies, particularly the blessing, ribbon cutting, and turn-over rites for three remarkable additions to the infrastructure landscape of the PGLU, which include the Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Provincial Legislative Annex Building, Health and Wellness Center, and the Bayview Multi-Purpose Hall on July 8, 2023.

The La Union Surfing Break (LUSB) 2023 Technical Working Group convened on July 7, 2023 at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union for the initial planning stage for the award-winning event’s 2023 execution. Participating local government units (LGU) were on boarded to prepare their activity line ups for the event as well as their safety and security plans. Also present in the meeting were partners from the Philippine National Police, Project Curma, and SIFCARE.
