In support to the national anti-illegal drug campaign, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) continues to take proactive measures to combat drug abuse in the province by conducting a a two-day Capacity Training for Barangay Drug Clearing Program (BDCP) Implementers held on September 5-6, 2023, at Ynad’s Place Hotel and Resort, La Union.
After 36 years of dedicated public service, Mr. Donato “Sir Don” A. Rimando, the Secretary to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of La Union, has bid farewell to his colleagues in the Provincial Government, leaving behind a legacy of commitment, wisdom, and camaraderie.

In a bid to bolster agricultural productivity and promote food sufficiency, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg), has successfully distributed P1.5 million worth of fertilizers and a variety of hybrid rice seeds to eight municipalities in La Union on September 1, 2023, at the OPAg Conference Room in the City of San Fernando, La Union.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of La Union conducted a one-day Legislative Assessment and Review on September 1, 2033, to evaluate progress in achieving legislative goals set in the 2023-2025 Executive Legislative Agenda. It was attended by the 23rd Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, led by Vice Gov. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega.

Anchored on the national government’s agenda on providing clean restrooms across the country and with the aim to upgrade the basic services being delivered by the province of La Union to locals and tourists, ordinance 422-2023 dubbed as “The Clean Public Toilet Ordinance of 2023” is now approved by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David and is now ready for implementation.
