The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – La Union conducted a One Town, One Product (OTOP) Cascading Workshop on December 4, 2023, at Hotel Ariana, Bauang, La Union, the first activity of its kind on Republic Act No. 11960, otherwise known as the OTOP Philippines Act whose Implementing Rules and Regulations has been recently approved on December 3, 2023.

A total of 38,587 kaprobinsiaan and tourists visited the Pasko sa Kapitolyo 2023 Lighting Ceremony at the Provincial Capitol Hill, City of San Fernando, La Union on December 1, 2023. This year’s Pasko sa Kapitolyo continued to use artificial snow to bring life to the event, 𝘃𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

The Fiesta Kucha Tumalugading Arts Festival held on November 30, 2023, at the La Union Convention Center was a resounding success, showcasing the collaborative efforts of various artistic and cultural organizations. After a remarkable five-year tenure as Provincial Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) President of the Province of La Union, Hon. Alyssa Kristine B. Sibuma bid farewell to her position, leaving a legacy of inspiration and impact on the lives of young people in the province.
In recognition of the exemplary performance of the Local Sanggunian of the province particularly in the field of legislation, the Provincial Government of La Union led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David conferred the first Provincial Local Legislative Award on November 24, 2023 at Vista la Vita, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Venturing towards sustainability and forging partnerships, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) and the University of the Philippines Los Baños (WILUP UPLB) was signed to adapt the Ridge-to-Reef (R2R) or Watershed Ecological Management (WEM) Approach on November 24, 2023 at the Hotel Ariana, Paringao, Bauang, La Union. The signing ceremony provides potential integration of the R2R/WEM approach in the updating of the Provincial Development Physical Framework Plan (PDPFP) of the Province.
