Tam-awan Village, Baguio City resident artist Ms. Grettalou Apolinar teaches the basics of drawing to one of the participants of the Summer Arts Camp – Visual Arts Workshop on June 4, 2019 at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. More than 20 elementary pupils participated in said workshop where the basic techniques in oil pastel were also taught.
Participants of the Dramatic Art Workshop present their output as part of their training for the Summer Arts Camp 2019 conducted by the Provincial Government of La Union at Diego Silang Hall on June 18, 2019. The workshop aimed to build and enhance capabilities of theatre artist towards the revitalization and consolidation of theatre arts and to discover new opportunities and help young artists to work as one to share new art ideas. Participants were college students from Saint Louis College, Union Christian College, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-Mid-La Union Campus and North-La Union Campus.
4S AGAINST DENGUE. As part of the Dengue Awareness Month, Dr. Jennifer Gamiao, pediatrician, together with Dr. Zenserly Pagaduan, Chief of Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) shares the 4S approach against Zika, Dengue and Chikungunya, all of which are mosquito-borne diseases on June 3, 2019 in Bacnotan, La Union. This activity is done every Monday throughout the month at the out-patient department and the whole hospital through the intercom. The 4S against dengue means Search and destroy mosquito-breeding places; Self-protection measures against mosquito bite; Seek early consultation when experiencing fever for at least two days; and Say “Yes” to fogging if there is an impending outbreak.
