Department of Tourism – Region 1 Director Martin S. Valera gives his Welcome Message to the participants of the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) 101 Forum organized by the Department of Tourism – Region 1 on June 20, 2019 at the Java Hotel, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. June is dengue awareness month since it is the start of rainy season. Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral infection. Careful clinical detection and management can significantly reduce mortality rates from severe dengue therefore awareness advocacy is necessary for prevention and early detection.
