La Union Ranks Second on Drug-Clearing Program
The Regional Oversight Committee (ROC) conducted a meeting on July 3, 2019 at the Hunter’s Den, PDEA Regional Office 1, Camp Diego Silang, Carlatan, City of San Fernando, La Union. In said gathering, it was disclosed that the Province of La Union ranked second in Drug Clearing Program regionwide and 366 out of 490 drug-affected barangays in La Union were drug-cleared as of July 2019 as validated by the ROC leaving 124 barangays to be cleared.

PERSONNEL DEVELOPMENT AWARD. Dr. Gretchen F. Aromin, Chief of Caba District Hospital (CDH) and her section heads recognize three hospital personnel from the nursing unit for finishing their Bachelor’s Degree and post graduate studies during the hospital’s General Staff Meeting on July 3, 2019 at CDH Conference Hall, Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union. Awardees were Midwife Rowena Sagun for finishing Bachelor of Science in Midwifery; and Nurse Maricar Agpasan and Nurse Lorenzo Roberto Ortega for finishing Master of Arts in Nursing. CDH’s Program and Awards Committee gives recognition to staff who underwent post graduate or higher studies on their own and successfully graduated.
