TREE PLANTING WORKSHOP. Ms. Kristine B. Orpilla of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist tills a land portion at Bungol Demostration Farm in Balaoan, La Union during the Tree-Planting Workshop held on July 8, 2019. Hawaiian palm trees were planted along the perimeter lines of the farm in support to the beautification of the Proposed Bungol Agricultural Learning Site.

CLEAN UP DRIVE AT CDH GARDEN. Caba District Hospital (CDH) staff cleans and tends to the plants in the hospital garden implementing the 4S and 5S programs during the CDH’s Family Day on July 6, 2019 at CDH, Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union. 4S which stand for Search and destroy mosquito breeding places; use of Self-protection measures; Seek early consultation for fever lasting more than two days; and Say No to indiscriminate fogging are being implemented to combat dengue while 5S stands for Sort, Straighten, Sweep, Standardize and Sustain.
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology students from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid-La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC) apply their learning in responding to emergency situations during their hands on scenario drill on the fourth day of their Safety and First Aid Training held on July 2-5, 2019. Said training, facilitated by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, included First Aid and Basic Life Support.
