PRC Brings Services to La Union Medical Center
A total of 134 clients avail of Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) services in their mobile outreach program dubbed as “Aldaw Ti Propesyonal” at the Dr. Eufranio “Franny” C. Eriguel Memorial Hall, La Union Medical Center (LUMC), Agoo, La Union on July 10, 2019. The activity was initiated by the LUMC to deliver PRC’s services closer to clients for their comfort and convenience, saving them from cost of travel and other related expenses.

Veterinarian IV Dr. Pepito G. Estrada of the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian conducts a farm inspection at Casem Farm at Brgy. Tallaoen, Luna, La Union on July 10, 2019. The farm was inspected before the shipment of 51,895 broiler chickens and for the issuance of shipping documents which includes the Veterinary Health Certificate and Veterinary Shipping Permit.
RABIES VACCINATION IN TOURIST DESTINATIONS ADMINISTERED
A staff from the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian administers an anti-rabies vaccine to a pet dog in Brgy. Lubing, San Juan, La Union. A total of 182 pets were vaccinated in said barangay to ensure a safe community especially that it is one of the surfing destinations in the province.
BDH OFFERS FREE BINGOT AT NGONGO SCREENING
FREE OPERATION: BINGOT AT NGONGO SCREENING. Field Coordinator Romeo Lopez and Senior Social Worker Brenda Lee Caballero of Philippine Band of Mercy (PBM) conduct screening of those with craniofacial deformities on July 9, 2019 at Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH), Bacnotan, La Union. The service is free to all residents of La Union and neighboring provinces. PBM, BDH’s partner, is a foundation that provides medical and surgical support to financially-challenged children born with such deformities. Interested patients may still visit BDH until September 20, 2019 for the free screening before the operation on September 21, 2019.
Provincial Tourism Site Development Program Initiative Consultation Conducted
Supervising Tourism Operations Officer Arthur S. Cortez, Jr. presents the Prioritization Tool and Criteria for Tourism Development of Major Tourism Attractions, Culture and Heritage Attractions, and Potential/Emerging Tourism Attractions during the Provincial Tourism Site Development Program Initiative Consultation meeting held at the Tourism Operations Unit Meeting Hall on July 9, 2019. The meeting was attended in by other members of the Initiative Team from the Offices of the Provincial Engineering, Provincial Planning and Development, Environment and Natural Resources and Provincial Strategy to finalize the rating and list of attractions to be prioritized for development.

The said committee discussed and approved the municipal ordinances of Agoo, La Union submitted for review.
