WASTE MANAGEMENT ENHANCEMENT. As part of the Waste Management Enhancement Program of Caba District Hospital (CDH), CDH Dietary Unit personnel feeds pieces of plastic wrappers they’ve cut inside plastic bottles on July 17, 2019 at CDH, Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union. These plastic-filled bottles will be turned into ecobricks which can be used as reusable building blocks reducing non-biodegradable wastes in the hospital. This was adopted from the program of Provincial Environmental and Natural Resources Office, “Basura Para sa Bigas” wherein these ecobricks were exchanged for rice.

Ortega III reaffirms the PGLU’s commitment to continually streamline internal procedures to uphold transparency and efficiency in public service. This was manifested by Gov. Pacoy during the audit meeting on July 17, 2019 at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol Building, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Officers from the La Union Medical Center (LUMC) in Agoo, La Union, led by Chief Executive Officer Dr. Glenn Ernest M. Fonbuena, presented the hospital’s best practices and innovations to healthcare providers from the Department of Health Center for Health Development IV (DOH-CHD IV) CALABARZON Health Facility Operation and Development Unit, during the latter’s benchmarking tour at LUMC on July 16-17, 2019.
